Tullow plans to tap Thurne

Tullow Oil has unveiled plans to develop the UK Southern North Sea Thurne gas field as a tieback to the Thames platform, using infrastructure that is already in place.The field, in Block 49/28, was discovered in 1987 and will be tapped through the existing Deben field development well 49/28-19, which will be reentered and horizontally sidetracked.
