Shah Deniz nears completion

Operator BP has completed the installation of the gas and condensate production platform for the Shah Deniz field in the Caspian Sea off Azerbaijan.Shah Deniz is planned to produce some 8.5 Bcm of gas per year and 37,000 b/d of condensate.The gas from the field will mainly be piped through the Sangachal terminal south of Baku and from there to Turkey, but some of the gas will also be sold to Azerbaijan and Georgia. The condensate will be piped to Ceyhan on Turkey's Mediterranean coast.
