K4 gives up its gas

Tullow Oil said today that the North Sea K4 exploration well has hit gas and is likely to be developed as a tieback to the planned Kelvin platform.The K4 exploration well, 44/23b-13, encountered reservoir quality gas-bearing sands in the targeted Lower Ketch Carboniferous interval and significant upside potential has been identified. Information will now be obtained from the well and integrated with existing data to determine the full extent of the accumulation.
