Reliance spuds Indian probe

Reliance has spudded the first of two planned exploration wells in Block GS-01 200km offshore western India. A production sharing contract for the block was awarded in 2001, with operator Reliance having a 90% stake, and Hardy Oil and Gas holding the remaining 10%.
