Kazakh field bought for 1.9 Bn

China International Trust & Investment Corp (CITIC) has paid a mighty US 1.9 Bn for the Karazhanbas oil and gas field in Kazakhstan.CITIC is buying the field from Canada's Nations Energy. Karazhanbas has proved reserves of more than 340m bbl and output of around 50,000 b/d of oil, the companies said in a statement.
