Prosafe hit by downturn

Norwegian rig owner Prosafe said today that operating profit for the second quarter 2006 was down at US 23m compared to 29.2m in the same period last time.Prosafe said it had been hit by a temporary downturn in fleet utilisation for Offshore Support Services owing to the demobilisation of two units from the US Gulf of Mexico and Nigeria.
