Fred Olsen will shortly sign the FPSO contract for FirstAfrica Oil's development offshore Gabon, E&P Daily can reveal.The competition for the contract was down to two Norwegian firms - Bergesen and Olsen but FirstAfrica is now only talking to the latter. Gulf Island is understood to have won the platform deal, with Saipem to conduct the installation.
