Frade bidders on home straight

Bids are due in next month for ChevronTexaco's US 1 Bn Frade floating production project, with a trio of contenders battling it out.The US major's deepwater project in the Campos Basin has been a long-winded process but things are now finally coming to fruition for the operator. Daewoo, SBM and Modec are the three that will submit tenders for the FPSO project by the middle of next month, with an official award expected by the end of Q1 2006, it is understood.
