Thrace basin target for Toreador

Toreador and its partner HEMA (a Turkish industrial conglomerate) are planning to sink an exploration well in the Thrace Black Sea permit area offshore Turkey.The Prometheus jackup rig will drill the well after it is released from work on the South Akcakoca Sub-basin project following completion of the Ayazli-2A well. The Karaburun-1 exploration probe will target a potential upper Eocene-age reef in the Sogucak formation and the lower Eocene age Hamitabat sands.
