ENSCO International has exercised an option to purchase for US 80m the remaining stake in a joint venture that owns a new jackup rig.One of the Dallas-based contractor's subsidiaries exercised the option to buy the remaining non-owned 75% interest in ENSCO 106, an enhanced KFELS MOD V (B) design jackup rig built to its specifications. The ENSCO 106 was constructed by Keppel FELS, a subsidiary of which was ENSCO's 75% joint venture partner in the rig.
