Petrobras is to steam ahead with two FPSO projects in the Gulf of Mexico after buying up stakes in fields from existing partners.The Brazilian firm is to use a fast-track phased approach for the deepwater Cascade and Chinook fields.It has acquired an additional 25% stake in the Cascade field and 26.67% in the Chinook field from BHP Billiton, and will also buy up the 15% interest that Hess holds in Chinook.
