Serica Energy has had mixed results from two Southern North Sea exploration wells.The firm's 23/16f-11 Columbus probe has hit gas after reaching a final depth of 10,116ft (3,083m) subsea and encountering a gross gas column of at least 125ft (38m) in the Palaeocene Forties sands.Preparations for flow testing the well have now begun and results of these tests are expected by mid December.
