ConocoPhillips is pushing ahead with its search for a contractor to build a central processing platform (CPP) for the North Belut project in Block B in the South Natuna Sea offshore Indonesia, E&P Daily hears.The US operator's first bidding attempt ended with just McDermott submitting a proposal after other contractors opted out due to terms and conditions. Another reason is that McDermott is the only contractor in Indonesia with the capacity to build the 40,000 tonne CPP deck required, making it likely to be the sole bidders if ConocoPhillips rebids the workload with the same terms.
