AMENDMENT TO PART E OF THE BUILDING REGULATIONS (NORTHERN IRELAND 2000)

The Department of Finance and Personnel has amended Part E (Fire Safety) of the Building Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2000. The amendments are set out in the Building (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005 (SR 2005 No 295) which came into operation on 3 October 2005. A new Technical Booklet has also been produced. The main changes in the Regulations relate to minor amendments to Regulations El and 3 to give recognition to testing to European standard. A new table is substituted for Table E of Schedule 5 to the Regulations so that updated deemed-to-satisfy references are inserted.
