The UK Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA) has welcomed the government's assertion that the exploitation of North Sea oil and gas reserves will continue to play a major part in the country's energy policy.In its much heralded Energy Review, the government announced that maximising exploitation of North Sea reserves, refocusing the Stewardship initiative and a Taskforce with industry on infrastructure to the west of Shetland would form a cornerstone of future policy.
