Angola is putting several exploration blocks under the hammer this year in advance of a major licensing round planned for 2006.Carlos Saturnino, negotiations director for Sonangol, said at the 18th World Petroleum Congress in Johannesburg that seven blocks would be put up for grabs before the end of the year.
