Noble Energy's Tamar-2 appraisal well in the Matan licence offshore Israel has boosted estimated reserves by some 26%. The probe hit a total depth of 16,880ft (5,145m) at a water depth of 5,530ft (1,685m). The well lies 6km northeast of the Tamar-1 discovery well.
