MULTI-STOREY CAR PARK TO BE READY FOR CHRISTMAS RUSH

It is an exciting time in West Norfolk as the historic town and sub-regional centre of King's Lynn starts to benefit from large-scale investment in the regeneration of its town centre and surrounding former industrial areas. Over 300 million pounds is being invested for projects that include: the redevelopment and refurbishment of the 1970s Vancouver Shopping Centre in the middle of town; a 701-space multi-storey car park; and the regeneration of almost 50 hectares of derelict brownfield land to accommodate one of seven Millennium Communities nationally. The town has just finished a year of celebrations marking its 800th anniversary, focusing on its golden past and rich heritage. Beyond this, the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk, along with consultants Llewelyn Davies, is developing an Urban Renaissance Strategy that will guide the further regeneration of the town to secure its future over the next 20 years.
