ExxonMobil has informed Brazil's National Petroleum Agency (ANP) that it has encountered hydrocarbons in a deepwater pre-salt prospect that could be the largest yet in the high potential Santos Basin.The US major is using the Seadrill-owned drill-ship West Polaris to drill the Azulao prospect (formerly Ogum), which some predict could hold recoverable reserves of more than 10 Bn bbl.
