UK Golden Eagle gets bigger

Nexen has upped its reserves estimates for the Golden Eagle area in the UK North Sea and says the find is now a "major development project". The company said that based on its assessment of the data acquired to date, including three exploration wells, nine appraisal wells, three drill stem tests, one injectivity test and extensive core data, it estimates that the Golden Eagle area contains between 150m-275m boe of gross recoverable contingent resource and is "becoming a major development project."
