Aker Barents to drill debut well

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has given Det norske oljeselskap a permit to drill wildcat well 6306/6-2 with the Aker Barents rig. The well will be the first to be drilled with the newbuild Aker Barents rig and will target a prospect 65km east of the Ormen Lange field in the Norwegian Sea.
