Aker Exploration has picked up a 40% stake in offshore Norway Production Licence 028 (PL 028) from ExxonMobil after agreeing to operate an exploration well on the licence for the US major. The Aker Barents semisubmersible will be used to drill the well, which is expected to spud towards the end of 2009.
