Helix Energy Solutions has discovered additional hydrocarbons with exploratory well Bushwood 1 at the Bushwood field in Garden Banks Block 463 in the US Gulf of Mexico (GoM). Bushwood 1 well was drilled to a total depth of 25,271ft (7,702m) and logged around 260ft (79m) of net hydrocarbons, including more than 150ft (46m) of net pay found in the deeper section. The well was cased and is being abandoned for future completion of the deeper zones.
