PNG LNG study underway

US major ExxonMobil and its partners are gearing up to start a US 60m feasibility study into developing the Hides, Angore and Juha gas fields in Papua New Guinea (PNG) as a stand-alone LNG project.The study will consider both the technical and commercial pros and cons of a 5m-6.5m tonne a year LNG facility in PNG that would have its first shipments ready between 2012 and 2013.
