Act lets householders sell power to the grid

A private member's bill allowing householders with their own microgenerators to sell surplus power to their supplier has now passed onto the statute books, with the full support of government. The climate change and sustainable energy bill seeks to cut CO_2 emissions and energy demand from the grid through measures intended to increase local electricity generation from micro wind turbines, solar panels and similar devices.
