CNPC ready for Niger triple

China's state-owned CNPC will spud the first in a three-well drilling programme in Niger in May.The first well will be drilled in the north of the Ténéré Rift Basin and Ténéré Block.The Facai-1 well is expected to be drilled to a depth of 12,140ft(3,700m)to test a new play.The location is 100km north of the two unsuccessful 2007 wells drilled on the block.
