The Musee du Louvre, Lens, in Northern France, which houses one of France's premier art collections is a satellite of the famous Louvre in Paris. Around 6,000m2 of exhibitions are displayed in five different buildings within the 28,000m2 complex. To guarantee maximum protection of the museum and its exhibits, the museum's Head of Security and Safety and his team specified a pre-action system for this stringent installation, which would be monitored throughout and signed off by the CNPP (National Centre for Prevention and Protection), France's number one public body for safety and fire protection.
