UK Blackbird spudded

Nexen Petroleum has spudded an exploration well on the Blackbird prospect in the UK sector of the North Sea,which could be developed as a fast track tieback to the nearby Ettrick field if successful.Partner Atlantic Petroleum said the 20/2a-8 Blackbird well is being drilled with the Transocean GSF Arctic IV in 371ft(113m)of water.
