Australia's Cooper Energy saw its half year profit triple to US 4.92m,compared to the same period of 2006,due to increased oil production.Half year production rose 43% to 181,648 bbl of oil,compared to the same period in 2006.This hiked production revenue by 93% to 17.46m.A successful appraisal and development drilling programme carried out between October and December at the Callawonga and Worrior oil fields in South Australia's Cooper Basin helped raise output.
