Acergy has been awarded a US 400m contract for a pipeline in Brazil by Petrobras.The Mexilh?o gas export trunkline involves the installation of 120km of 34-inch diameter pipeline from an offshore fixed platform in the Mexilh?o field to shore at Caraguatatuba, south of Rio de Janeiro. The Acergy Piper semisub pipelay barge will be deployed on the project. The pipelay programme will start in the first quarter of 2008.
