Eni's 12 Bn for Egypt

Eni plans to spend US 12 Bn on gas operations in Egypt over the next five years, according to the country's Ministry of Oil.The Italian major also plans to exploit an extra 180m bbl of oil from its Balaim onshore field in the Gulf of Suez by using new techniques, Reuters quoted the ministry as saying in a statement. The extra oil would be extracted over 12 years and would be worth around 9 Bn, of which the Egyptian state's share will be around 6 Bn.
