Vietgazprom said that gas has been encountered with the first well drilled in Bao Wang as part of an exploration campaign in Block 112 in the Gulf of Bac Bo offshore Vietnam.Initial data suggests that a production rate of up to 14.12 Bcf/d(400 Mcm/d),with condensate also found in the wellstream.Further testing and appraisal is needed before the field can be declared a commercial discovery.
