BP was the biggest winner in the Mineral Management Service (MMS) oil and gas Lease Sale 204 in the Gulf of Mexico, a BP official said.MMS estimates the entire lease sale could result in the production of 242m to 423m bbl of oil and 1.64-2.64 Tcf of natural gas. MMS said that 358 bids from 40 companies on 282 tracts offered in Lease Sale 204 were received. The sale offered 3,338 tracts consisting of around 75,524sq km.
