The start of the deepwater campaign off Libya has not been good, with the first two wells drilled by Woodside Energy proving disappointing.The Australian firm is the first, but not last operator, to be drilling in deepwater Libya this year.It plans a total of four wells. The first was drilled in Block 35 at a depth of 2,297ft (700m) to a total depth of 17,700ft (5,395m). It encountered noncommercial hydrocarbon shows. The second was in Block 36 at a water depth of 3,576ft (1,090m) to a total depth of 11,172ft (3,405m). It was a dry hole.
