Efficient multistage stimulation: Field proven in North America, an innovative staged fracturing and matrix acidization service has gone global

Now proven in more than 100 wells comprising over 500 individual zones, an innovative mechanical diversion system provides the foundation for two new multistage stimulation services, one for fracturing and one for matrix acidizing, that can save days or even weeks compared to traditional approaches, and significantly increase production results, in many cases, at least two to three times higher than offset wells. The system combines high performance openhole packers with hydraulically activated ports that provide positive mechanical diversion while placing multiple fracture treatments along horizontal well bores with a single, continuous, rig-less pumping operation, that is typically completed in one day. The patented system was developed by Packers Plus Energy Services, a Canadian-based completions company, and the first to introduce this technology. Recently, the company has teamed up with Schlumberger to offer this service worldwide.
