The market is awash with light fittings of all shapes and sizes. From fancy chandeliers to functional flood lights, dramatic designer daftness to basic bulkhead boringness-the idea is that every fitting has a correct application and, just as surely, every fitting has a wrong one. Clearly the look of the fitting is important on some level, but the main purpose of (most) light fittings is to illuminate a space for humans to inhabit and use effectively -that is to say, when deciding how to light a space there is far more to consider than simply how good a fitting looks!
