Koreans join Uzbek hunt

Uzbekistan's state-owned UzbekNefteGaz has teamed up with Korea Gas Corp(Kogas)and Lotte Daesan Petrochemical to develop and produce a gas field in Surgil,western Uzbekistan.The partners plan to set up a 50:50 joint venture to develop the block near the Aral Sea,according to reports.The field has estimated reserves of around 4.7 Tcf of gas,according to South Korea's Mael Business.
