GoM Ike shut-ins continue

The US Minerals Management Service(MMS)has estimated that 48% of oil production in the Gulf of Mexico(GoM)continues to be shut-in in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.The MMS also said 23 manned platforms have been confirmed destroyed by the hurricane.It is also estimated that approximately 47.4% of the natural gas production in the GoM is shut-in.
