UK Hansa takes sip of Chablis

Serica Energy has struck a deal with Hansa Hydrocarbons allowing Hansa to farm-in to Serica's UK licences in Block 48/16b and Block 48/17d in the Southern North Sea.Under the deal,Hansa will earn a 35% stake in the licences in return for contributing on a promoted basis to the cost of a well to appraise the Chablis prospect in Block 48/16b,scheduled to start drilling in mid October.Serica will remain as operator and retains a 65% stake.
