THE CONSERVATION AND REPAIR OF HISTORIC BUILDINGS

Over the last 40 years I have been involved in the conservation and repair of historic buildings both practicaLly and professionally. In July 20101 carried out a full structural survey of the above building, starting with an inspection of the roof structure internally. On accessing the roof space it became apparent that the structure was of significant historical importance due to the configuration of the timbers, including close studding, detailed wind braces and arched collar trusses.
