US contractor Global Industries has landed a US $44m deal from Chevron for platform and pipeline work offshore Thailand, which will start in May. The contract will run through to October on Chevron-operated blocks in the Gulf of Thailand. Global said it will use its derrick lay barge Comanche for the installation works. The project includes as base scope, installation of pipelines and platforms, said Global.
