BG hits Brazil pay dirt

BG has discovered hydrocarbons with the Corcovado-1 exploration well in the BM-S-52 Block in the subsalt region of Brazil's Santos Basin.The well found hydrocarbon reserves in the sub-salt region. The company reported the find to Brazil's National Petroleum Agency (ANP), said BG, which operates the block with a 40% stake. Brazil's state-owned Petrobras holds the remaining 60%.
