Rowan has agreed a drilling contract with McMoRan Oil & Gas for the new 240C class jackup Rowan-Mississippi.The rig will drill one or more ultra-deep gas wells in the US Gulf of Mexico,including additional drilling on the Blackbeard prospect.The contract is for two years and is worth around US 160m in revenue.
