Two appraisal wells have been a success on the South Sembakung gas and condensate prospect in East Kalimantan,Indonesia - with initial data suggesting development is commercially viable.The South Sembakung-2(SS-2)and South Sembakung-3(SS-3)wells were drilled by the Apexindo-2 rig in the Simenggaris Block and hit multiple gas-bearing sandstones,said partner Salamander Energy.Two zones in SS-2 well flowed at a combined rate of 13 MMcf/d of gas,while one interval at SS-3 well flowed at 500 Mcf/d.
