Shaped charges can replace hydraulics in new system. While hydraulic fracturing is recovering profitable quantities of oil and gas out of large volumes of formation, it is not without controversy and problems. The transportation, use and disposal of fracking water and the cost of machines, manpower and fuel are just a few of those issues.
