Although it is early days for the Niobrara, this liquids-rich Rocky Mountain play has operators and analysts abuzz. Not surprisingly, many of the speakers at Hart Energy's recent Developing Unconventional Oil (DUO) conference in Denver spoke enthusiastically about the Niobrara shale. After all, this enticing new prospect is just a few miles to the east of the city, though it also extends north into Wyoming and Nebraska.
