Salamander pulls Serica bid

Serica Energy has welcomed a move by Salamander Energy to pull out of a proposed hostile takeover of Serica.Salamander said that following rejection of the offer by Serica and "against the backdrop of deteriorating equity,debt and commodity markets",it had decided not to proceed with the takeover offer.
