ONGC submits Iran report

ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), the foreign arm of India's state-owned ONGC, has submitted a feasibility report to the Iranian government for an oil discovery it made on the offshore Farsi Block in 2006. The report comes after OVL and partners Indian Oil Corp (IOC) and Oil India Ltd (OIL) were given approval from Tehran for the commercial viability of gas production from the block, reported RTTNews. OVL found oil on the BB structure where it drilled three wells in 2006. OVL and IOC each hold a 40% stake in the 3,500sq km Farsi Block, while OIL holds 20%.
