Arc kicks off Aussie probe

Arc Energy has spudded the Stokes Bay-1 well as a sidetrack to the Valentine-1 well in the R1 permit in the Canning Basin onshore Western Australia.The Stokes Bay-1 well is planned as a test of the extent and reservoir development of the gas accumulation intersected by the Point Torment-1 well in 1992 with a subsequent flow rate of up to 4.3 MMcf/d of gas.
