India's state-owned ONGC is in negotiations to acquire a 30% stake in Sudan's Block 8 from Malaysia's state-owned Petronas,and is also keen on a second block,said Sudan Oil Minister Awad Ahmed al-Jaz. "ONGC has three blocks and they are on their way to joining a fourth,"Jaz told reporters after meeting with Indian officials.An official with ONGC,which is already a major producer in Sudan,confirmed to Reuters that the stake on offer was 30% of Petronas' total 85%.
